Blocking Question

I'm on the third repeat of the lace pattern, and it's already getting pretty darn obvious that this top will need some heavy-duty blocking if the lotus blossoms/alien heads are going to look like anything other than a variegated spaghetti mess. What did other people do? Does anyone have advice about blocking lace knit in the round?
This is my first lace piece that didn't start out flat, so I'm not sure what to do.

I doon't know the proper way either, but what I did for mine was drape it over the end of a an ironing board, steam it, then very lightly press it open.

Like ocdeviant said above, not ironing exactly, more like a light tap/stroke.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. Right now, LBT and I are not talking. I messed up one repeat of the lace because I was looking at the wrong row of the (otherwise excellent) chart IK provides on the website. It took a lot of fidgeting and messing around to figure out what's wrong, and I may have twisted stitches.

At least the number of stitches is still dead on...
